Poll: Allyson Schwartz Beats Tom Corbett in Pennsylvania
A new poll puts Democratic Rep. Allyson Schwartz atop the field of hopefuls in the Pennsylvania governor’s race.
Schwartz beat incumbent GOP Gov. Tom Corbett by 10 points, 45 percent to 35 percent, in the Quinnipiac University poll released Friday.
Corbett faces an uphill battle to keep his seat, according to the poll, which found 42 percent of respondents had an unfavorable view of the governor, while 30 percent had a favorable view.
Asked the same question about Schwartz, 72 percent of respondents said they hadn’t heard enough to form an opinion.
