You probably should warn that you are sending people to the American Thinker, a blog that publishes hate group leaders like Pamela Geller.

It should be obvious that any site that claims Republicans are “too smart” is in suspect terrain.

Before you scoff, consider that the vast majority of Americans don’t make decisions intellectually. They make them emotionally.

And which party has been taking advantage of that fact? Hmmmm?

I know, I know! That would be the party of fear and hate.

This article could’ve been published by the Onion without changing a word.

Too funny.

It is the GOP that needs to appeal to the mid-brains and brain-stems of the GOP base and swing voters, since there is no rational reason for anyone to vote for this GOP wrecking crew.

What this article needs is a comprehensive list of Smart Republicans and the things they do that make them smart.

Anybody want to go first?

The Uncle Sam as thinker logo of their website makes it look like he is on the toilet.

So, what this author is trying to convey is that the Republican Party should focus less on Death Panels, FEMA coffins, birth certificates, and DHS hoarding bullets and focus more on emotional topics? /

If you haven’t read through the comments yet, you really owe yourself that pleasure. It’s like watching dogs on a tether argue about how to get themselves unwound from around a tree. Allen West gets mentioned as an antidote to what ails them probably half-a-dozen times in the first 50 comments.

Oh it would have to be Allen West, according to the comments section, though someone did point out that his claim to fame was managing to get out of the military with an honorable discharge after mock executing a terrified Iraqi.

17 shecky  Tue, Aug 27, 2013 1:38:26pm

Yes, that’s exactly it. Republican politicians really need to dumb it down a bit.

Oh yes. Comedy gold. E.g., “This is a forum for thinkers.”

Long time lurker here. Registered to point out that the author of that piece called Huey Lewis a pop singer. What year is it again?

Why, it’s the year of not needing money, and not needing fame!
