Under the new health care law, insurance companies will be asked to charge men and women the same health care premiums. Not everyone is on board with that. Should women pay more for health care because they have more of the organs involved in childbearing?

A Fox News doctor absolves men of baby-making to pin the payment on ladies. And you know, maybe the doctor has a point. If people should pay only for the organs they have, I bet he gets a bargain for health care. I mean, he’s missing a brain.

It is irrelevant that women live longer because insurance is paid for one year at a time. Deceased men are no longer paying premiums! That right there is their “discount”. (And all this is only in the event that people are buying supplementary insurance to Medicare since it kicks in at 65.)

As far as women spending more on healthcare during their reproductive years, the whole point of insurance is to pool risk treating all people as equally as possible.

Yes, we should discourage people from getting screenings, preventative treatment, and early care. That will solve all our problems with the healthcare system.

Actually the “truly appalling” statement occurs at around 3:00 when this idiot libertarian doctor recommends that everybody should go “bargain shopping” for surgeries, xrays, CT-scans, MRI’s. This is the Ron/Rand Paul bullshit for “keeping medical costs down.”

I want to break things every time I hear this horrible bullshit.

“Take away Grandma’s Medicare and give her VOUCHERS and COUPONS and then let her go bargain shopping for the best medical deals! You know how Granny loves bargains and coupon clipping and saving money by finding GOOD DEALS!”
