As a nation, how can we continue to turn our backs on the mental health of our young brave men and women warriors after they return from combat? The Republicans love to scream and shout from the rooftops about their patriotism and love of country, but fight hard against funding for Veteran’s mental health programs.
A recent report that examined post-combat deaths among veterans in California finds that suicides after military service are outpacing combat deaths in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
