Right. Sure thing.

I see no difference between eating animals and paedophilia. They are both rape, violence, murder.

Figures. Yeah, we’re all just like Morrissey. Yep. It’s not even a mainstream vegan, vegetarian or even animal rights POV. It’s just Morrissey being weird as usual. Might getting weirder.

Won’t be surprised.

If you can’t tell the difference, I’m not coming over for dinner at your place.

PETA is sick in the head. Morrissey is just a visible manifestation of the sickness. Spewing out a Godwin as he does is just par for the course for a group that once did an ad campaign called “Holocaust on Your Plate”.

To borrow from another British cultural phenomenon, I wish someone like The Doctor really existed and could take Morrissey back to 1944. I’d like to set that goober among the British paras trying to hold on near Arnhem against the Waffen SS. I’d like Morrissey to know what it was like to fight the fanatics of Hitler’s Third Reich and then see if he still finds his juvenile comparisons acceptable.

PETA is here to make the NRA look good.

The singer’s objections go yet further when he violates the so-called Godwin’s Law,

This author should’ve looked it up first. Cheap Nazi-analogies fulfill Godwin’s law, not violate it.

Since I’m wasting time anyway…

But it’s not just animal advocacy for Moz: The singer is currently at work on a novel, he said, having grown increasingly dispirited at the state of the music industry. “The actuality is that radio stations will not play my music, and the majority of people have lost faith in the music industry.”

Am I seeing this quote out of context, or is his ego really that big?

I have always liked Morrissey’s music, especially with The Smiths. I have also considered Morrissey an insufferable, moralistic douche for as long as I can remember. This latest rant from him is no different.

There are good and valid arguments for not eating meat, or for severely reducing your animal product intake. Telling people that eating meat is exactly the same as molesting children isn’t one of them.

I’m so tempted to order an extra large carnivores pizza in Morrissey’s name, and send it to the guy starving himself to stop gay marriage. [h/t the commodore]

Morrissey belongs on the psychiatrist’s couch, not spouting off about social issues.

He’s a perfect example of narcissism being substituted for education. If you look closely enough, you can see a lot of this in “artists” and those who achieve success without having much formal schooling. It’s fine to admire someone’s artistic talent, it’s another to take them seriously as social commentators.

14 ObserverArt  Sat, Jan 4, 2014 8:28:33am

I’ve also liked his music, he is a hell of a singer. And like Justanotherhuman I too will keep in mind he is an artist and I appreciate his art. If you’ve ever read much about him, he like to rock boats, take on politics and be outspoken and purposely prickly to elicit reactions.

And yes, he has a huge ego, but he is right about the music industry. It is a mess. The gap between actual talented artists being recorded and produced and industrial manufactured crap is bigger than ever.

Well that settles it, I’m taking time out from offering candy to kids from the back of my van down at the preschool to grill some juicy steaks for my neighbors and I. According to Morissey I should get the same rush without any of the legal implications…uhh…right?

Eating meat’s food must be even worse than being a nazi then!
