Russ Campbell’s Blog: Farmers Markets to Sell Ontario Wines May 1
Last DeÂcemÂber, PreÂmier KathÂleen Wynne promised that OnÂtario would be joinÂing British CoÂlumÂbia in reÂlaxÂing provinÂcial liquor laws to alÂlow cerÂtain OnÂtario made wines to be sold at the province’s farmÂers’ marÂkets as of May 1.
There are apÂproxÂiÂmately 200 farmÂers’ marÂkets in OnÂtario and the wines will have to qualÂify as VintÂners QualÂity AlÂliance (VQA) wines, which are made only with OnÂtario grapes.
