And this is different from the Taliban using the word of the Qu’ran to justify murder and stoning women how? Oh wait, it’s the Bible so it’s “different.”

Figure this guy to be the next Senator from Ne. His numbers in a 5 way race for the republican nomination were greater than the total votes received by both democratic candidates by roughly 40k. The state is headed rapidly in the same direction as Kansas.

I wonder if he would support Muslim taxi drivers who won’t take passengers with alcohol. //

And that is why they are so worried about other religions-especially Islam.
While they believe their particular brand of Christianity (whatever it may be) is the One True Faith, they recognize that giving religions broad rights allows all those other people to claim those rights for their “incorrect” beliefs.

There is no difference They would both murder in the name of religion and God. And you were taught that God is Love? The jackboots come this time with Bibles and Stars and Stripes and Freedom and Liberty on their lips.

So along with this guy and Cruz, how many other religious nutters will be in the Senate next year? Things are really starting to look crazy to me.

Maybe this open advocacy of a Christian theocracy will wake a few swing voters up.

Stealth theocrats like the conservatives on the Supreme Court are more difficult to deal with.

I am astounded at the ignorance of a large part of our nation. Simple plain ignorance. They only listen to what reinforces their beliefs and call it truth. Ignorance.

Of course religion can be used to justify anything. This is one reason it’s important to be a good critical-thinker, and not fall for religion.

child marriage is also sanctioned by several religions. I have a feeling all too many of these “religious law” types are really creepy in their unmentioned agenda and desires.

Almost time for the Mormons to pull that polygamy thingy out of the attic again.

Will Willard Romney sue the Feds for their soon to be unlawful harassment of his ancestors?
