Project from hell, designed to torture me.

Incontrovertible evidence that you’re having fun!

Wow… You have mastered this art. Love that top one. And nice to see you here.

Though I did cut a chunk out of the tip of a finger off a couple of months ago…..

There’s art in your blood, and vice versa!

The top one is my fave, it’s in my kitchen. The roundels in there are hand-blown glass from Germany, I love those! I have a few left. When they are gone, they are gone. None of my suppliers carry these any more.

Beautiful! LOVE the lotus! (And happy to “see” you back)!

Hello! I love the top one! It looks very William Morris, Frank Loyd Wright. Terrific to get paid!

12 Ding-an-sich Wannabe  May 24, 2014 2:23:51pm

So far the top one seems to be everybody’s favorite. I concur.

13 wrenchwench  May 24, 2014 2:29:57pm

I like the bottom three. Four if you count the Project From Hell.

You need to find a cathedral in disrepair..

This one is gorgeous:

And reminds me of my grandmother’s art style.

It’s not just the colors, but the variations on the clear pieces that makes it neat.

Woah! How long does it take to learn that? It’s an elegant art!

I took a class, 6 weeks, 2 hours a week, plus some “homework”.

Then it was just a matter of just - doing it. And tackling progressively more challenging items.

Set-up (equipment, etc) was about $250 for the tools, grinder, soldering iron, etc. Another $100 for the table with a nice soft pine wood top that I can hammer nails into to keep the piece together as I’m working on it.

THIS. The textures make it very interesting.

Très Cool!

For anyone who thinks they might be interested in doing this … here’s my home set-up.

The glass grinder on the table to the right is enclosed in a common aquarium that has been turned on its side - keeps the glass bits enclosed in one spot and also provides eye protection.

The grayish thing on the other table, to the left of the grinder set-up, is a holder for the various tools - glass cutter, soldering iron and various other tools.

The table - I just bought those legs from somewhere online, I can’t recall - then added the wood at the size I wanted which was 4’ x 4’. You can use these legs to “make” a table of any size you want. The set of legs was $80 and then I bought 2 4’x8’ lengths of pine board, cut in half, to make the table - the top has 2 layers of the pine, sooner or later I will have to turn over the top piece as it will be full of holes.

Notice the dustpan and dust broom. VERY IMPORTANT.

Very cool. I especially love the Fleur de Lis. You should make one in Saints colors. :P

How much would you charge for one of those? I may be interested in buying.

$85 per square foot. Plus shipping. Which is expensive.

Do you insist on shipping or might I possibly be able to meet you somewhere in NOLA to pick one up?

BTW Reine. Good to see you back. Hope all is well with you and yours.

No, I do NOT insist on shipping.

However, I’m in BR not NOLA and don’t really make that trip that often.
Anyhow - send email and we can work it out.
