Kansas Officials Await EPA Greenhouse Gas Rules

Kansas officials are waiting to see how the federal government plans to regulate greenhouse gas emissions only days after the state signed off on a new, $2.8 billion coal-fired power plant.
The head of the Environmental Protection Agency planned to announce the new regulations Monday in Washington. Administration officials have said the rules would give states goals for reducing emissions but allow flexibility in meeting them.
