Intell isn’t going to be enough and hopefully McConnell will make that clear. An Iraq run by ISIS is intolerable and if averting that outcome means air strikes (including carpet bombing ISIS columns if needed) or even an unofficial alliance with Iran, then that is what we must do.

I have a different view after 13 years of watching Warfare and COIN ops I’ve come the the conclusion that the only way to really oust non state terror groups is for the locals to rise up against them. Ultimately it will be the Kurds and the Shia who get rid of ISIS.

The reason the ISIS has made the gains they have is the people don’t like the present government and after years of Saddam and then us, who can blame them if they just run away? Remember that there never was a Iraq until the British created it from the defeated Ottoman Empire. The fracture lines today are all along that mistake. Look at it as a Middle East Yugoslavia and you get a better understanding of the dynamics. No strong man, no Iraq. And the other fact remains; If there was no oil and no money to be made, we would care not a lick what happened there. Now for the reasons we went into Iraq, well that depends on who you talk to, doesn’t it? I suggest Senator McCain and all the other enlightened liars who walked us into Iraq sign up, suit up, and go to Iraq. It seems we never learn.

Saddam and his family are still dead, the infrastructure we destroyed stayed destroyed, the various factions that hated each other still hate each other, and there still is no functioning government. I have to score four out of four for the Bush Administration, and that was considered VICTORY!

Nothing has changed under Obama other than our troops aren’t getting killed and maimed there any more.

WTF more do John McCain and Lindsey Graham want?

The Victory that Bush had. You know. That one. Flight suit and all. Mission Accomplished. Back to looting the USA. Black Water and Halliburton and shadows and money and skin and, and, and…..Didn’t we win?
” WTF more do John McCain and Lindsey Graham want? ”
You know who to ask that loaded question, don’t you? Yep.
Lives. Not theirs. Yours. And THEM. You know. THEM. And those. On the Altar Of We Do Not Have A Fucking Clue What Has Been Pulled On Us Signed, John Q Public.
