Its primarily just audio but Its a great video lecture to watch, (or just listen to) and also it gives you some important things to think about.

Seems a bit hypocritical of him to trivialize the study of mathematics. Hard to take him seriously after that.

I don’t think Hannibal trivialized it. He just pointed out how mathematics follows simply rules and that you can always get the right answer by plugging in the right formula. Science and History don’t really work like mathematics, but that doesn’t make mathematics any less valuable, especially since science really needs mathematics.

I can’t imagine that any mathematician would agree that math is so simple.
The actual practice of mathematics does not resemble what you describe. You are reducing a field that requires tremendous creativity and effort to the level of a homework exercise.
Hannibal is making the same error that he’s concerned about others making with regard to history.

Yah that wasn’t what was said. How you even got that out of the video I’m not sure. Mathematics follows predictable modeling that can be checked to be correct. History follows not such path. It makes it a lot harder to deal with in comparison.
