They need to change their motto.

To be fair, I don’t think this tells us much about Wilson’s guilt or innocence. Just as I don’t think that the video of Michael Brown allegedly strong arming the cigars tells us much about what happened when they interacted. That’s the only thing that concerns me and, in my opinion, the only thing that counts: what the hell happened when these two crossed paths.

The grand jury should see this before they make their decision. The credibility of witnesses is a key factor in making decisions.

I think it speaks to his mindset. Not proof on anything so much as “consistent with” a hostile and harsh policing style, that in fact ignores the reality of the law. Any policeman unconcerned with false charges has the wrong job.

This video is so short that I don’t know what to make of it. It certainly could give us some insight into his mindset but I’d be more comfortable making that assessment with more evidence showing this to be a pattern. Unfortunately, the Ferguson PD has so poisoned the well with their actions so far that I have no faith that they would willingly allow anything incriminating to come to light.
You should already know where I come down in this case but I’m just unsure whether the video adds anything meaningful.

I don’t want to clip in too much from PINAC, I’m already PNG over there. But if you read further I think it all fits.

Yeah, Arman’s story doesn’t make Wilson look good and the Ferguson PD lying about whether or not it was really Wilson is pretty stupid (like I said, that well is poisoned). I actually read this story last night and I’m glad you paged it.

In all honesty, part of my reaction to the story is the belief that it doesn’t make a bit of difference to what’s going to happen. The fix is in and it’s been in for my whole life. It is so very rare that a police officer is held accountable that I always expect the worst. At this point I wish they would hurry up and announce that charges will not be filed. There will be peaceful protests but inevitably there will also be some violence in the streets. Not nearly as much as peaceful protests but the media will have a field day anyway. We all know what is going to occur. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Gawd. It’s not only about the video. It’s mostly about the report he wrote on the arrest. It shows how easily dishonest he is, when writing up how somebody was arrested.

It blows my mind how lazy some people are when they offer critiques of an argument. it’s like you see the shiny thing,. and assume that’s all there is!

How silly of me to discuss the video in a post headlined “Video emerges…”

It shows how easily dishonest he is, when writing up how somebody was arrested.

Do you think that there are more than a handful of officers that don’t lie on their reports? Gawd, some people are so naive.

It blows my mind how lazy some people are when they offer critiques of an argument.

It blows my mind that some feel the need to play the asshole when offering critiques of a post, but there you go.

it’s like you see the shiny thing,. and assume that’s all there is!

And looky here, I wrote this a full 3 hours before your post:

Yeah, Arman’s story doesn’t make Wilson look good and the Ferguson PD lying about whether or not it was really Wilson is pretty stupid (like I said, that well is poisoned).

But somehow I thought the video was all there is and its only about the video.
