Officer Jeffrey Bolger Slit Terrified Yet Restrained Dog’s Throat
For the crime of inconveniencing and annoying a police officer, an escaped pet dogs throat is cut with a knife. How terribly cruel. Might a human suspect have been next?

Officer Bolger is charged with aggravated animal cruelty. Both he and a second officer, Thomas Schmidt, have been suspended in connection with the killing.
Baltimore Police Deputy Commissioner Dean Palmere called the the incident an “outrageous and an unacceptable breach of our protocol.”
