I imagine the Stand Your Ground gun deaths would run around 10% of the population per year.

I would bet that it would be lower than that. After all, who wants to shoot at someone that can return fire?

Gun fuckers generally see themselves as a combination of Rambo and Billy the Kid. It makes them much less restrained than they could be.

Also:

we’re going to try to make at least one county a complete and entire constitutional county.

By which he means, “I will decide what the Constitution means and I will stand my ground against all dissent.”

Speaking as a non-nut gun owner, fetishists don’t believe anyone can return fire. Their gun is a talisman against all physical harm, all fear, and all criticism.

Randall Gross,

I heard. Thankfully this is going to end in utter disaster for Mack and his supporters, assuming he even manages to get it off the ground. Its doubtful that most of the locals will support his idea, and the feds won’t tolerate that degree of lawlessness.

Going to the local Wal-Mart would probably feel like walking around Nicaragua in the 80’s. They should be alright though, only Black people get shot by the police for carrying guns in public.

I expect the population to approach being 100% morbidly obese, high school education with some college dropouts mixed in, not really successful during high school in dating girls, and to have grown up in a mostly white enclave with all of the sense of entitlement left intact. Mixed in will be the occasional crackpot Ben Carson type black male convinced he will be accepted and might even be the local celebrity token - just don’t try and date anyone’s daughter.

Entirely missing from the population will be Nobel Laureates, successful engineers, published college profs, peer-reviewed scientists, or anyone who has ever read a Brief History of Time. Welcome will be extended to high school science teachers that teach Creationism and burn crosses onto student’s arms.

“Now imagine that all of you - all of us that similarly live in Utah, Arizona, Colorado, all lived in the same place”

Didn’t the Libertarians try that in Vermont back in the 1990’s?

Two points.
1) What are all these people moving in going to do for a living? It’s a desert. They might be able to take over the government, but there won’t be much to run. The county does have some tourism, but it also holds parts of 3 Indian Reservations, so they presumably don’t even really run the whole county.

2) Last I looked, my own heavily populated and fairly diverse county in the SF Bay Area was being run pretty much in keeping with the Constitution. I’ll bet wherever you live, your county is too. So why bother to move to Arizona to do it?
What a bunch of loons.

re: #4 LoonRadio

But how many of these insane cases recently have involved people who were returning fire, or were even CAPABLE of returning fire?

They’re crazy and stupid. But despite the rhetoric, most of them do have a functional sense of self-preservation.

I would go very heavy on the loon part. Long term planning doesn’t really resonate with a lot of them.

I predict that “Constitutionalists” will be just as fragmented and nuts as every other religion on this planet. Give it time. The Purity Test and The Divining will soon come to a piece of paper near you. Merry Christmas One And All, and even if you know there is no God, may he or she notice and love you. All you can do is love one another. Is that too much to ask? Peace.

They don’t use the word “constitutional” in the same way you do. They mean it in a ‘sovereign citizen’ manner, where armed men rule the roost and all social spending is considered ‘looting’ ala Ayn Rand.
