I’m not surprised. It’s gonna get worse—yesterday the NY Times lent their name to Marine Le Pen by giving her a platform for an opinion piece. Today Newsweek has a long puff piece on Geert Wilders. It may be all about the clickbait, but they’re giving a huge bullhorn to proto-fascist ideologues.

You started to say it. It’s not just clickbait if Le Pen and Wilders are genuinely dangerous. We have no choice but to fight back now. Dr. King was right, you’ve got to fight hate with love.

I guess the NY Times thinks this is supposed to offset giving Le Pen a bullhorn?

Then there was this:

Both the people in charge of the New York Times and Newsweek, ought to be ashamed of themselves. Freedom of speech is one thing, but they don’t have to give these people a platform.

They can give them a platform, but as far as I’m concerned doing so means they’re no longer respectable publications. You won’t ever catch me spending another dime of one of their issues.

Forget it Jake, it’s Chinatown Texas.

For a second I thought this was Mesquite or Balch Springs.

Last I checked, Garland is mostly Hispanics and East Asians (Vietnamese mainly).

This donotlink goes to RT, there’s some photographs of some of the protesters

I wish someone had a megaphone out there and brought up Geller and Spencer’s hands having the blood of Norwegian children and read word for word Geller’s quote about the justification of killing Norwegian kids by Breivik.

Sadly, a lot of ignorant people on the Left blame our Charles for this too, even though the tone about Islam on this blog has changed 180 degrees since Charles left the Right in 2009.

Guess who was behind the haters at the protest? Pamela Geller & the Tea Party, with Breitbart happily reinforcing their narrative.

Surprise! //

Oh, and apparently (unlike the protesters) Muslims aren’t good citizens who pay taxes, they’re comparable to neo-Nazis/the Aryan Nations, and allowing them to hold their fundraiser in a building belonging to the school district is an affront to the First Amendment because Muslims! Sharia! They want to kill us! Yes, really—because unlike the rest of you sheeple, they know Islam & fully understand our Constitution:

Garland ISD residents felt similarly disenfranchised as to what their taxpayer dollars were supporting at the Curtis Culwell Center. Stand With the Prophet was unassumingly listed on the event calendar under Sound Vision Foundation, Incorporated. These sentiments were voiced by many at the rally. […]

“Garland ISD would never allow a neo-Nazi or an Arian [sic] nation group to rent the building but they allow a group whose main speaker advocates the overthrow of the United States government and the end of our way of life?,” the resident added.

Surrounding community members like Irving’s Nancey Tresler told Breitbart Texas, “We find it ironic that the place the Muslims choose is a school where religion is banned from school. Islam is an all encompassing political and religious philosophy of government. They should not be allowed on school grounds.” […]

But no siree, Geller’s not a rabid, Islamophobic bigot with a vicious & abiding hatred for Islam & all Muslims, she’s a concerned human rights activist and fearless defender of freedom!

I’m embarrassed at what a hateful, cowardly face they put on Americans.
