AFA declares victory vs “Black Jesus”; see also “Black Jesus” gets 2nd Season
One Million Moms (which for the sake of clarity, is neither a million strong nor made up solely of moms) announced a victory in their war against anything they don’t approve of.
AFA’s online community for women (onemillionmoms.com) continues to have an impact as members make their voices heard. 1MM director Monica Cole reported these victories: A&E cancelled Neighbors With Benefits after airing only two episodes and receiving a barrage of complaints and advertiser defections from the sex show; Bayer cancelled a disgusting Lotrimin commercial less than 24 hours after 1MM members flooded the company with emails; WE television cancelled Sex Box after airing only five episodes; and Adult Swim posted on its website that the blasphemous program Black Jesus has been cancelled.

I’m sure this news comes as a great shock to many, especially the folks at Adult Swim who renewed the series for a 2nd Season back in December of 2014, to be broadcast later this year.
Turner’s Adult Swim has reupped original live-action series Black Jesus and animated shows Mike Tyson Mysteries and Mr. Pickles for second seasons. The renewals follow Adult Swim’s expansion to 8 PM earlier this year with an emphasis on more original programming.
