I always though Peter Gunn was an original until learned it was cover. To me this version will always be te best. I will play it till m ears bleed.

ELP was the 2nd concert I went to, in Feb ‘78. It was the Works II tour, and Peter Gunn was in the setlist. Another huge loss in a rough year for musicians.

What sad news. Depression is fatal.

I remember the first time I spun an old copy of Tarkus that I found in my parent’s basement. That big armadillo tank thingy really caught my attention in those days (I was a teenager). I found out that day that rock ‘n’ roll could blend classical music into its sound. It was a rabbit hole. On to King Crimson, on to Yes, then Frank Zappa, and then I’m roommates with a guy with thousands and thousands of jazz albums.

RIP Keith Emerson, you changed my life.
