The media is not at fault for Trump’s ability to get away with behavior and rhetoric that debases the Presidency to a level of tin pot dictator standards of conduct. It is the fault of approximately 35% of the overall American population and 60% of white voters, who despite claimed religious and ideological convictions otherwise, are perfectly willing to sacrifice their stated manifestos in order to :

1. Stick it to the “libtards”

2. Stick it to those subhuman immigrants and brown skinned people in general.

3. Continue to advance a demonstrably false narrative that is anti-science, pro-violence, specifically white entitlement, and supporting a false sense of American History that never existed in the first place.

It is the American population that continues to support Trump that is the actual real problem, not the media. There are plenty of outlets available that encourage actual investigation, critical analysis, and real actual accountability to history and science. They choose instead out of their own free will to listen to a charlatan carnival barker because of the reasons given above.

I’ve been of the belief that Trump could be Bernie Sanders on steroids…everything conservatives freak out about liberals over - he could say, “We are going to abolish the 2nd amendment! We are going to nationalize the banks! We are going to dismantle the military!” - but as long as he promised to round up and deport undocumented immigrants and build the wall and keep Muslims out - his supporters would still love him. There is simply no ryhme or reason to it. And the media has devoured everything about him because he’s good TV, which has helped to enable his rise.

They haven’t reported much on this alledged bribe of the FLA prosecutor (to get her not to prosecute him on Trump U), or Trump U itself, or any of the dozens of other reasons why Trump is - all ideological reasons aside - simply not a good man, and a dangerous charlatan. He is a celebrity, and American culture is obsessed with celebrities. Now our media eventually turns on celebrities after building them up, and maybe that will happen with Trump. And hopefully sanity can return to our electorate. But I’m not holding my breath.
