What Is Golden Hour? Let Me Show You

I’m sometimes asked what golden hour means. It’s easier to show than explain, so a few minutes ago I snuck out onto a 13th floor fire escape on an old building and snapped this with my cell. You have probably seen mid day cityscapes and they don’t look like this. In my latitude golden “hour” is minutes. It’s really short near the equator. Up in Canada they have the advantage of a longer golden hour to film in. If you ever watched the quirky SciFi show Eureka you saw this exploited. Great outdoor look. Little side note, if you saw the page Los Angeles from Her Mountain, well in the distance is that mountain.
