Ways to Help the Children Trump’s America Has Locked Up
One of the things keeping me going right now is that there’s still work to be done. I donate money and call my state officials. Here’s a list of charities targeting ICE’s latest crime against humanity:
Donate to @asylumadvocacy (Asylum Seekers Advocacy Project), or sign up to volunteer if you’re a lawyer, law student, or interpreter. ASAP runs essential programs including a a legal emergency room, & uses a remote representation model to reach detainees.
In Arizona, by any chance? Get involved with the @florenceproject, which provides direct legal & social services for detained adults & children in AZ. They need attorneys, interpreters, researchers, medical professionals, and administrative assistance.
Participate in @supportKIND’s social media campaign to raise awareness about get the word out on family separation:
Donate to the Women’s Refugee Commission (@wrcommission). Your aid supports their Migrant Rights & Justice program.
And of course, call your senators and representatives. The ACLU has a list.
