Anymouse and Spouse Meet Cheechako Near His House
My wife and I are currently in Juneau (Alaska, not Wisconsin). That gave me the opportunity to meet my first person from LGF, Cheechako.
We met at the coffee shop up the street from our hotel. Cheechako was kind enough to bring us a gift of salmon as a welcoming gift, along with enough travel brochures for the Juneau area to keep us occupied for three months.
We had a good long chat together about everything except politics (we can do that here, though we did talk about the high quality of discussions at LGF). It was great to finally meet someone from Mr. Johnsonās Home for Wayward Political Junkies.
Hopefully weāll get to meet more people from LGF soon.
We took one of his suggestions this afternoon and visited the Alaska State Museum. It has the history of the area from the time of natives, through the scramble by Russia, Britain, France, and Spain to control the area, up to the present day. It was well worth the visit.
Since I could not find a graphic of crossed Alaska and Nebraska flags, youāll have to settle for a graphic of the pop singer Alaska Nebraska from āThe Simpsons.ā
