#Thegreatpoolpondconversion - 201011
The weather held out just long enough that we could start painting the deck.
It is tedious work and still quite tiring in the heat.
Just one line in the notes says ‘paint deck’ but it’s gonna translate into many, many days.
We may decide to detour around this and attack it in small bite sized chunks when we feel like it.
The big show must go on.
We prepped and cleaned the filter bins and painted them a nice green. Nothing to see yet.
We ordered 8 yards of dirt to fill the bed in the picture above, and that’s what we’ll be shoveling next weekend.
It’s being delivered right now.
We made a lot of new friends this week.
We added a bunch of new fish on Sunday.
Some more comet goldfish, a bunch of shubunkins (a smaller goldfish) and some blue gouramis.
Feeding time is a frenzy now.
We also got two glimpses of a Pleco (or two) this week. They tend to stay hidden or well camouflaged so no pix.
There are at least 5 frogs that swim in the pond and hang out around the slate border.
Looks like they live under our potting table and come out every night.
We spotted this spider in the field where we were going to do some weeding.
We didn’t do any weeding and are considering whether we have to burn down the entire field ;-)
Three iguanas showed up (just once). None of them looked like Donna from last week.
There’s a good chance they live around the house too.
