Saint Melania the Mottled: Our Lady of Victimhood
With apologies to Edward Gorey:
Melania has some thoughts on the events of the past week, and figured out who we really need to feel sorry about: it’s her.
I am disappointed and disheartened with what happened last week. I find it shameful that surrounding these tragic events there has been salacious gossip, unwarranted personal attacks, and false misleading accusations on me – from people who are looking to be relevant and have an agenda. This time is solely about healing our country and its citizens. It should not be used for personal gain.
Our Nation must heal in a civil manner
Yeah. The real problem is the lack of civility. From the left, as ever.
Too bad she was too busy with her photo shoot to tell her husband to call off a violent insurrection, but hey, those photos had to be taken.
So there goes Melania, signing off exactly as she served: Complaining about people being mean to her, completely misjudging the mood of the nation, and spouting trite soundbites about morality and good behavior while saying nothing about the deranged actions of her husband.
“It was for the people and for the left-wing media who are criticising me. I want to show them I don’t care. You could criticise whatever you want to say. But it will not stop me to do what I feel is right.”
Mrs Trump criticised the media for being “obsessed” about her clothing.
“I often asking myself, if I had not worn that jacket, if I will have so much media coverage,” she said, adding: “I would prefer they would focus on what I do and on my initiatives than what I wear.”
How’s that cyberbullying campaign going?—pretty successfully, actually, now that her husband has been kicked off Twitter. BeBest.
