A story with a happy ending.

Read the link and think about the comments of the family of the robber. Realize that being forced into a bathroom during a robbery is frequently the precursor to being shot in a more secluded place than a brightly-lit store.

That’s right. Come in, grab the money, get the hell out and I probably won’t shoot you in the back.

Come tell me you’re taking me to the bathroom, freezer, storeroom, or whatever and you’ve just given me reasonable justification to fear for my life. This is legal grounds for the use of lethal force in all situations.

If Grandmomma wasn’t going to teach her Grandson not to commit armed robbery, she should have schooled him on the hazards of messing with people strange to you in a Shall-Issue state.

Lovell waited until the armed robbers started pushing him toward a place where murders are often committed. His actions were entirely defensive.

Donicio Arrindell’s rights to a trial ended when he left his victims with no other choice. He is now a member of the Darwin club.

Grandma Jones can cry. Her genes won’t be passed on through that part of the family. Frankly, I have a very hard time caring.

Here’s to John Lovell!

For me the money quote is

“He should not have taken the law in his hands,” said Rosa Jones, Gadson’s grandmother.

Eh, well, is it not something far worse than ‘taking the law in to one’s own hands’ to levy a tax on a stranger at gunpoint?

Apparently that’s too subtle of a distinction for her.

he should not have taken the law into his own hands..

Excuse me, but isn’t that precisely what the armed robbers did? The only difference is that they broke the law and the 71 year old ex-marine enforced it!

I don’t have a problem with robbery being a dangerous profession.
