McCain Has 9 Percent Lead in Latest Texas Poll
Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain holds a 9 percent lead in Texas over Democratic contender Sen. Barak Obama, according to the latest Rasmussen poll.
The results were determined by a telephone survey of 500 likely voters conducted on July 30, according to Rasmussen Reports.
Fifty percent of those polled said they would vote for McCain, while 41 percent responded that they would vote for Obama.
Of the remaining respondents, 6 percent said they were unsure and 2 percent chose “other.”
The margin of sampling error is plus or minus 4.5 percentage points, according to Rasmussen.
