Tennessee is my adopted state, and as much as I love living here for many reasons, to say that they are a bit ‘provincial’ in their outlook is to be overly kind… While there are people with a wide world view, able to see and appreciate nuance in life, many of them are very happy listening to talk radio so that their own worldview gets reinforced. Blazing Saddles summed it up pretty well.
