That sort of thing, I am ashamed to say, resonates with me as well.

I was the outcast and anti-social weirdo for most of my life. The anger and hatred that generated in me literally drove me insane. I still struggle with it.

But on the other hand I’m fortunate enough to be far too empathetic and imaginative to inflict pain and suffering on others. So my solution, rather than to seize a fleeting moment of infamy at the expense of others was to withdraw from the world.

It’s better for every one that way.
