Regular HBO Go is not locked down to Apple devices, but the Android app has some really bad reviews.

It appears that HBO Go standalone is currently Apple only. That saves me $15/mo since torrents of HBO play fine on any platform, and I’ll pirate for as long as a paid subscription is greatly inferior to the torrent.

When I can play HBO on my PC and Android devices, I’m willing to pay the $15, but not when they go out of their way to limit availability.

Make your service generally available and I’m happy to pay. I have Hulu, Netflix, and Spotify accounts. Make it difficult to use the paid product, and I’ll download the torrent instead.
