I always thought of Derbyshire as a lightweight as opposed to a racist. His wife is an Asian. Certainly when it came to racial matters he could be counted on to reach the wrong conclusions or miss the mark entirely.

After reading his latest piece I realized Derbyshire is Archie Bunker, circa 2012.
