I’m betting on the whole Chamberlain peace in our time line, ignoring that Reagan cut a deal with the Soviets on arms control, and that deal pushed concept of trust, but verify.

Do the right wingers think that there will be no verification, or that blind trust is all the P5+1 will do?

More to the point, it does seem that right wing and a bunch of Israelis think that these talks consist solely of the US and Iran, and that everyone else has to abide by the deal. There are multiple countries involved, and the talks are the work of consensus between the parties. Any deal will have to be signed off by all those involved, not just the US and Iran.

Of course, the right wing wont stop trying to sabotage any deal done. They’ve threatened as much.
