I’m probably as pro-gun as it gets here but that kind of crap has to end. When my son was little I kept our firearms double locked - with a trigger lock on them _and_ in a gun safe. There is no excuse to leaving a gun where a kid too little to know better can find it and one of the ways to change that is to make everyone aware of the stupidity of people and it’s consequences.

We changed the culture in positive ways with drunk driving and tobacco. This needs to change as well.
