I notice this announcement skips around a major point: apparently this sounds like a direct DOT deal; Congress ( for which rail riders should be bigly grateful) seems not to be involved.
Which of course, is the only way a lot of stuff can get done in this country ( not just rail)…

Barring a massive GOP meltdown, the GOP will retain control of the House, which means a near absolute commitment to obstruct Clinton on everything.
