Depends rather heavily on what they’re reading, don’t you think? I’d be willing to bet, for instance, that the Hitler Youth had at the very least 90% literacy. And given what we’ve seen in the past about “education” in the Pali territories, it’s a legitimate question to ask what exactly these kids are being taught in this program.
