No, not why we’re discussing Islamists. Islamists are a very real threat to Israel, they’re a very real threat to American servicemen and women. They’re a very real threat to nations such as Chechnya.

Sharia law is not a very real threat to the United States, at all.

But we have actual laws that are being passed that are inspired by highly conservative Christianity. That is actually happening. It’s real.

So yes, the things that are actually happening, the laws that are actually being passed in this country, are more of a threat than hypothetical Sharia laws that are not in any danger of being passed here in the US. Though the Islamists would be in favor of many of the laws that we are passing.
