Your latter premise isn’t true, though. Normally, one partner is more experienced than the other, and they tend to be the leader. Often, this is in a coercive and/or abusive fashion.

Awkward, to be sure, but at least it leaves open finding something works for both people.

If you assume an ideal circumstance, but those same ideal people would watch porn and understand it’s acting, and not try to emulate it.
