The necessary shift in the mindset of the society, from one of thinking only about today and money (which is an enumeration of time spent) and one’s status in one’s local tribe, to that of being an integral element in a global eco-system with long lasting effects of our actions and with long-term requirements for our future … all of that requires a major re-wiring of our culture.

That’s why I’m a doomer.

Yeah. In the end life will go on even if the human species does go extinct. Which as we well know is very well possible.
