Continuing on the theme of alcohol raised upthread, I disappeared about a third of a bottle of bourbon on Wednesday night after a dumpster fire of a Production deployment. I drove home after deploying, and as soon as I walked in I had 6 emails, a missed call, and a voicemail. I had to drive back into the office at 4:00 in the afternoon, against traffic. I got in, got set up, tested the system, and everything was working. Five minutes later, my client messages me: “Everything’s working now.”

I got home that night and brought in some wine for Mrs. Fish, the bourbon for me, and immediately got to it. I don’t remember much after that.
