The disease is not just Trump — it’s the entire Republican party in Washington. Pence? McConnell? Ryan? Sasse? They are just as malignant to the body politic but more insidious.

True, but Trump is the “head” of the beast. I think if somehow Trump gets tossed it hurts the entire party. If it hurts the party and causes more people to vote Democratic next two elections and it balances out Congress, then that takes away some of the damage that can be done.

I’m trying to be realistic. It’s going to take a major change to knock sense back into the GOP. I think many know that. It will take a few cycles of them getting beat at the polls before they look to change.

I’m just looking for ways to stop them now and to hopefully start to get some of that new cycle going. One step at a time.
