Grrr, I still want to see the South more humiliated for slavery and the Jim Crow atrocities. Again, I hold that Charles Sumner was correct, and has continued to be correct about the American South.

Show me one iota of evidence otherwise. Where certain Southern States are getting better, it is because they are becoming part of the North (Virginia and North Carolina).

Too late. The damage is already done, are there’s no way to undo it.

Had things gone differently in the first generation after the Civil War…had the federal government not let Jim Crow drive blacks right back into marginality…we’d probably be a different, happier nation.
