A crude estimate I just did shows that splitting EVs in OH, PA, VA and WI in 2012 would have taken 26 EVs from Obama and given them to Romney, for a net GOP gain of 52. Not enough to change the result in 2012, but that was actually a very bad presidential election for the GOP.

No, but it would make Florida really really close to mattering again. Nightmares of 2000 abound.
