One word: Haskell.
Another word: Python.

There are languages where alignment is very important, and is part of the language.

What I ran into recently that’s really annoying is that makefiles require you to use tabs to indicate nesting.

Edit: And then I’ve had to jump on a computer where the best editor is Nano. It’s always fun jumping on those computers.

Luckily, a lot of editors can format the the entire page you’re working on.
