Speaking of cars, there was a piece on CBS Sunday Morning about the Bullitt car - the green Mustang fastback that Steve McQueen used in the movie.

It got purchased by a NJ family after the movie, and a few years later McQueen wrote the family requesting that they sell him his car. By then, it was their car.

They’ve had it for decades in the family, and put it into storage for about 15-20 years. Only in the past year have they acknowledged publicly that they own the car (which has all the movie hardpoints/rigging for stunts on the chasis, etc.) and have put in on display including at the Washington Mall.
