My wife bought a new six-quart pressure cooker, which was delivered a few days ago.

She is starting it on its maiden voyage with some of the huge stockpile of dried beans we have.

Our old Forties pressure cooker blew out its safety plug centre. After some searching on-line, she was able to find a replacement plug.

Now we have two pressure cookers to make endless beans.

She also was rummaging around in the freezer—we have not eaten any red meat since December (long story involving VA testing I won’t go into here), and turned up a bunch of steaks and lamb chops.
