Matt Hagee, the bigot pastor of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, who allowed disgraced former Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn to rent his church for his tour, where he infamously said the USA had to be united under one religion (his), has apologised (on his church Website, not to the congregation).

The reason is the Freedom from Religion Foundation made a complaint to the IRS that he was using his church for political purposes in violation of the law.

If I was a cynic, I would think Hagee was trying to keep his tax-exempt status.
