I feel confident in asserting that if Hitler would not have risen to power in Germany then most of us wouldn’t be here, given that we are Americans and either our parents or grandparents had their lives significantly rearranged by WWII.

So, if I gave you a time machine, would you go back and prevent Hitler from becoming Fuhrer?
