Of course they don’t get it, and they haven’t read Matthew. Their Bibles end at Leviticus.

And yet, they aren’t keeping kosher. Funny how that works.

This guy’s selective readings of their biblical reference materials ends up doing precisely the opposite of what Jesus intended (and that which the Pope, and Benedict before him) wants, which is to better care for those who lack the resources to survive. It’s about caring for others.

Some folks just seem to lack that gene (compassion).
