I think so. He’s been into astronomy for a long time, but when I show him some of the intense images NASA is putting out now he says that it gives him the heebie-geebies. We saw “The Martian” together. That made the infinite loneliness of space less lonely to him. It’s going to be fun to see what he comes up with.

He’s smart, but not genius smart. He memorized the basics of the periodic table, but most kids could if they did it the way he did—listening over and over to They Might Be Giants.
