I’d wager the President sacking the chairman of the Fed would pretty much tank the markets. Meanwhile, nutjobs like Ron Paul are advocating abolishing the Fed entirely. If Trump catches wind of that, it’s anyone’s guess what might happen.

I’m not sure the President can fire members of the Federal Reserve Board. I think it’s part of their separation from political interference
