4:40am Mythical Daylight Time: The birds were just switched on.

Extremely local news: A couple days ago my sister-in-law noticed water running down the outside of our house; it appears we have a leaking pipe.

I can’t find any flooding in the cellar, nor can I find the pipe which is leaking. All the water is pooling under my kitchen window.

We’ll have a plumber out next Wednesday from Scottsbluff (charge just to come to my house: $75).

Do you have a stethoscope in your frontier first-aid kit?
