It’s a perfectly good point that the origins of Israel, and the invasion of it in 1967, and the repeated physical attacks on it, are something that I think Americans find it hard to think about. We’ve never been in a situation where our country was seriously threatened as to its existence. Israel has been. It’s definitely something to remember.

However, the specific language of “behaving as if everything is okay”, I have no clue what that’s supposed to mean.
